Dr Zahid Raza
Dr Raza qualified from the University of Dundee in 1990 and was appointed Consultant Vascular Surgeon at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 2002. He carried out his basic surgical training and MD research in Dundee until he came to Edinburgh in 1997 for higher surgical training. He obtained his FRCS in 1994.
Dr Raza has publications in vascular surgery, including several book chapters, and is on the specialist register with the General Medical Council. He administers assessments and examines surgical trainees nationally and internationally with The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has an international reputation as an invited speaker on training, vascular surgery and surgical exams.
He is a member of the British Association of Sclerotherapists and has carried out several thousand vein treatments. As a pastime, he enjoys playing Padel Tennis, Cricket and Badminton.
