Dr Ewa Majdak-Paredes
Ewa is a fully accredited plastic surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. She is currently head of the plastic surgery department at St John’s Hospital in Livingston and also works at the Edinburgh Breast Unit.
She graduated from the Medical University of Gdansk before completing a three-year PhD programme in surgery and human genetics of hereditary breast/ovarian cancer syndromes at Gdansk and Leiden University Medical Centre. She was awarded a prestigious Marie Curie PhD fellowship. This led to the award of a PhD degree and reviewers’ distinction.
She then undertook all postgraduate training in surgery and plastic surgery in the UK, spending 12 years in general and plastic surgery in London, Birmingham, Dundee and Edinburgh, followed by fellowships in oncoplastic breast reconstruction, advanced microsurgical reconstruction and aesthetic surgery in Edinburgh Breast Unit, Chelmsford and Canada.
In her NHS practice, she regularly undertakes complex reconstructive and corrective surgery of the breast, body and face. In her private practice, Ewa’s interests include a wide range of plastic and cosmetic surgery. Ewa completed voluntary Cosmetic Certification by the Royal College of Surgeons and is certified in all aspects of Cosmetic Surgery.
Ewa is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Surgery (BAAPS), the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and the European Association of Plastic Surgery (EURAPS).
Omar is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Waterfront Private Hospital in Edinburgh. Dr Quaba is fully accredited on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and has been practising since 2011. He completed his medical education at Cambridge University and underwent specialist plastic surgery training in Aberdeen and at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery unit in Glasgow. Dr. Quaba holds Cosmetic Surgery Certification from the Royal College of Surgeons and is a member of BAPRAS, BAAPS, and ISAPS.
