About the Role
As a key member of the Senior Clinical Team, the Deputy Clinical Lead will be integral to the delivery of the strategic vision and plan for the hospital, as well as accountable for the customer & stakeholder outcomes. You will have key responsibilities that include line management of clinical teams as well as acting as the Clinical Lead or Theatre manager in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and assisting in the delivery of patient care and providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the departments
- Acting as a role model and mentor to clinical staff
- Building effective controls to ensure departmental Key Performance Indicators and financial targets are achieved
- Ensuring Clinical Governance and Risk management are embedded within daily practice
- Line management of theatre team members
- Participating in out-of-hours management cover on weeknights and weekends
- Supporting the Hospital Director and Clinical Lead/Manager in collaborating with stakeholders to ensure delivery of patient-centered care
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Registration with the NMC/HCPC
- Significant post-registration experience within a high acuity specialty
- Previous experience managing and leading a clinical team
- Strong background within a hospital setting
- Previous leadership experience in Operating Theatre Department
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders
- Experience of managing high-performing teams
Desirable Qualifications
- Private healthcare experience
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills across a range and varied patient case mix
- Flexibility to work across multiple roles as required by service needs

Reporting directly to the Clinical Lead/Manager, the candidate will be expected to project manage and deliver on key initiatives.
